3 Cases of Mesenteric Cyst

Abstract
|
|
|
Since Benevieni observed a mesenteric cyst at autopsy in 1507, it has been known a clinically rare disease.
It is generally agreed that diagnosis is not certain before surgical exploration.
Because the symptoms are extremely variable according to the size and locatin of the cyst. During the period of 5 years from 1968 to 1972, Authors had experienced 3 cases of mesenteric cyst which were surgically treated with good results.
Among these cases, one was found in the sigmoid colon mesentery and the other two in the mesentery of ileum.
A brief review of literature was made.
